    The Enguri Dam

    Rising in the Enguri gorge, the arch dam brings engineering and mountain landscape together. The colour of the reservoir and the wooded slopes make a striking view here.

    The Enguri HPP Museum

    At the Enguri HPP museum you learn the history of the dam and the hydroelectric station. The visit helps you better understand the scale of the structure and how power is produced.

    Keti Melkadze's Gallery

    Fe Room, inside the Enguri HPP complex, presents the work of Keti Melkadze. Art made from iron mesh and other materials gives the industrial setting a new meaning.

    Zipline at the Enguri Dam

    The Enguri zipline is a chance to see the gorge and the dam from an unusual angle. If you wish, you can add this adventure to the journey.

    Panoramas of the Enguri Gorge

    The road to Svaneti continues along the Enguri gorge. The river, the steep slopes and the changing mountains create memorable landscapes along the way.

    The Bride's Veil Waterfall

    On the Zugdidi–Mestia road, the waterfall's spreading flow recalls a bride's dress. This short stop in the Enguri gorge rounds out the road's natural sights.

    In Mestia, the Betkil mineral spring emerging from under a large boulder is a small discovery of nature. A stop here adds a different setting to your tour of the town.

    The Heshkili Viewpoint

    From Heshkili, wide views of Svaneti's mountains and wooded slopes open up. The well-known swings and the open space make a place to enjoy the landscape and take photographs.

    The Hatsvali and Zuruldi Panoramas

    The views from Hatsvali and Zuruldi bring Svaneti's peaks and wooded slopes into a single panorama. Here you see the mountain landscape from a different height.

    Ushguli's stone houses and Svan towers make a memorable landscape against Shkhara. The village paths introduce you to mountain architecture and local life.

    Lamaria Church

    Above Ushguli, Lamaria is one of Svaneti's most distinctive places of worship. The stone church, its tower and the open space towards Shkhara give the site its particular atmosphere.

    Queen Tamar's Tower

    In Ushguli, the tower linked to the name of Queen Tamar recalls local lore and Svan defensive architecture. From its surroundings, views of the village and the mountains open up.

    Ushguli Ethnographic Museum

    The Ushguli ethnographic museum introduces the traditional life of a Svan family. Old furniture, working tools and household objects tell of the way of life in the mountains.
